Indeed, the process of buying hair has always been a huge problem for all hair buyers who are both beginners and experienced ones.
As an expert in hair selling with 5 years of experience, I will show you 4 easy steps to buy hair from suppliers in different countries so that you will never have to encounter bummed circumstances when buying hair.
1. Find a good supplier to buy hair.
I know there are numerous articles mentioning this point. However, this is still the most vital step that needs to be stressed.
If you can not find a good hair supplier, all the steps I’m about to tell you will be vain because the final result will be disappointing.

2. 4 SIMPLE steps to buy hair.
2.1. You order hair.
This may sound like an easy thing to do. However, not everyone knows how to order exactly and efficiently, which may slow down the process and cause confusion to both buyers and suppliers.
Due to my experience, I will give you a popular format used by most hair suppliers around the world for ordering:
- Quantity (kg or bundles)
- Style (Straight, curly, wavy, pixie, etc)
- Color (Black, blond, ombre, etc)
- Quality/Grade (Single Draw, Double Drawn, Super Double Drawn or 8A, 10A, etc)
- Length (inches or cm)
For example: “10 bundles of straight black Super Double Drawn hair 20 inches”.
To understand all of these factors, you firstly need to do your own research to understand thoroughly the business. Follow this format will give the supplier a full understanding of your order.
2.1. The supplier makes a demo invoice and you confirm.
After receiving your order, the supplier will make a demo invoice which is the summary of all the orders including products, prices, shipping fees, discount (if available), and the total money.
Basically, this step is the duty of the supplier. However, you need to carefully check the invoice because it is your product after all. Some mistakes occasionally happen. In the worst situation, the supplier is maybe dishonest. They will add some ridiculous fees or unreasonably increase the price of the products.
In this case, the best solution is the buyers themselves have to understand the price lists and ask the supplies for clear explanations.
2.2. You pay money and the supplier prepare your hair
To finish payment, you can use many different shipping methods to pay such as MoneyGram, Western Union, bank accounts, or Paypal. The first 2 methods are highly recommended due to its fast service allowing suppliers to receive the money in a short time. Bank accounts will take some days to check.
The last and not recommend method is Paypal. Some may think Paypal is convenient but it will cause major problems for both sides. The first issue is the low exchange rates which will force the supplier to charge you the additional fees from 5 to 10% of the total value. The second and also the worst problem is the merchandise payment method which allows refunding. Some bad customers may both take the hair and ask for a refund from Paypal, which will cause huge damage to the supplier.
Therefore, if you are tending to work with a supplier with no Paypal, PLEASE be SYMPATHETIC. The supplier is in the higher risk.
It will take the supplier 6-7 days to produce the hair for you. The reason for a long time of preparation is that they don’t keep hair in stock. Stocking hair will decrease the quality of the hair. If any supplier can provide you with hair immediately, they are low-quality suppliers or scammers.
2.3. Supplier film your hair and you confirm to ship.
When it comes to this step, your order is 90% certain because they have full proof of your order. Buyers need to check carefully whether it is all the order. If there are any mistakes, you can tell the factory to fix the hair. Remember, when the hair it shipped, it will take a long time to be returned.
2.4. Feedback and warranty – The last step to buy hair.
When you receive the hair, remember to check carefully the package if there is any mistake. Most hair suppliers only accept returns or warranty within 10 days after receiving the hair, and of course with suitable reasons.
Giving feedback is not compulsory. However, this will help the supplier a lot to improve their services and quality. It will also raise the business relationship between you and the supplier in future cooperation.
