A hair weft extension is a collection of hair strands which have been woven on to a fine strip of cloth to create a “weft”. Hair extensions will differ in width dependent on their length but are generally referred to by their weight. Normally, the weight of 1 bundles is 100 gram.

2.1 Style

2.2 Grade of hair

Depending on the percentage of hair in the same length, hair is devided in 4 grades: VIP, Super double, Double Drawn, Single Double.

The single drawn weft in hair extension emulates the real hair we have. It’s smooth, shiny no shedding, no tangle, 100% human hair. It is really thick at the root with some weathering and thinning towards the end. The percentage same length hair for this type  is only about 50-60%

Double drawn weft hair have shorter hair removed by hand, workers cut the hair ends by hands so the full bundle will remain the same fullness from top to bottom, then the hair will be sewn in a weft hair extensions. The percentage same length hair for double drawn  is about 60-70%, as long as you buy it from reliable hair suppliers.

Super hair – Basically, super hair is not so much different from double hair. The percentage same length hair is about 80-90%. So it is thick end than double hair, strong and silky and it also has the higher price.

The last one, VIP has the highest price. This hair is most silky and full hair with the percentage same length hair is about 95-100%

2.3 Materials to produce weft hair

The material making weft hair can be weft human hair or synthetic fiber.

Weft Human hair or weft real hair extensions from human hair bulk suppliers is classified into virgin hair and weft remy hair. Virgin hair has the best quality, only come from 1 donor. It can be dyed bright color such as purple, light pink, green,… Weft remy hair extensions is mixed hair which come from 2 or many donors. Synthetic hair is very cheap, made from synthetic chemical fibers. It looks like weft human hair but it will become tangles after using a short time.

Nowadays, Vietnam, China, India are top 3 biggest country in exporting weft hair extensions in the world.

Indian women think that cutting hair is the same with throwing away a burden. They often go to the temple and through their hair. Hair vendors collect it and clean to export. So Indian hair is very very cheap. But the quality is not good, hair has smell, not soft and silky.

Chinese vendors usually imports raw human hair from India. Because they have advanced technology and the availability of cheap labour, the price of Chinese hair can be considered quite cheap. According to experiences of many hair vendors, Chinese hair has good looking at the first time but then become tangled and shedding easily.
